Alejandro Garnacho has agreed personal terms with Chelsea, according to journalist Ben Jacobs from GiveMeSport. The Manchester United winger appears increasingly likely to leave Old Trafford after months of frustration under manager Ruben Amorim.

The 21-year-old Argentine international was subject to a £60 million bid from Napoli in January, which United rejected. Instead, the club chose to loan out Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Jadon Sancho while retaining Garnacho.

Garnacho now awaits a move to Stamford Bridge as club-to-club negotiations continue. Manchester Evening News reports that talks between the clubs have reached an advanced stage.

Transfer valuation dispute

Manchester United are demanding £50 million for Garnacho, believing he should not be sold for much less than the £52 million Chelsea received for Noni Madueke's move to Arsenal last month. However, Chelsea hope to secure a deal for less than £40 million.

The Blues know United need to offload players, particularly if they want to complete a record-breaking deal for Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba before the transfer window closes. Garnacho represents pure profit for United's books.

Chelsea have already spent over £240 million on ten players this summer, including Jamie Gittens and Jorrel Hato.

Europa League frustration

The transfer speculation intensified after Amorim left Garnacho out of the starting line-up for May's Europa League final against Tottenham, sparking a strong reaction from the player. Despite playing in every previous round, Garnacho was limited to just 20 minutes in the final.

Garnacho said: "Up until the final I played every round helping the team, and today I play 20 minutes, I don't know. The final will influence [my decision] but the whole season, the situation of the club. I'm going to try to enjoy the summer and then see what happens afterwards."

Last season, Garnacho scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists in 58 matches, establishing himself as one of United's standout performers in Europe.

Manager's perspective

Amorim offered insight into the situation during United's pre-season tour in the United States. The head coach acknowledged the disconnect between himself and the talented winger.

Amorim said: "I think Garnacho, you can understand and you can see, he's talented, he's a really talented boy. And sometimes things don't work out. You cannot explain specifically what it is. But I have the feeling, I think it's clear that Garnacho wants a different thing with a different leadership."

The Portuguese manager added: "Sometimes you adapt to one guy, you have the connection. Other times, you want a new challenge. So, we try to make everything okay to all the parts. To the club, to the coach and to the players. So, it's a natural thing in football."
